Worship emphasizes that we are marked with the cross of Christ and that we are dying and rising. We are, by God’s grace, being born again and again and again. So we invite people to be very conscious that they are living in relationship with God and that God is up to something in their lives and in the world. Worship Through the Seasons September through May we have Sunday morning worship at 8:30 (traditional) and 10:30 (alternative). On Wednesday evenings we serve a meal for the community at 5:30 and an alternative worship service is at 6:30. During Lent, in addition to our regular Sunday services we have two Wednesday services each week, during the afternoon and early evening. Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend we have one traditional service on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. During summer we also have Wednesday evening worship at 6:30 p.m. which is preceeded by a meal, starting at 5:30 p.m. Holy Communion Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday and Wednesday. The early Christians who followed Jesus gathered around WORD and MEAL. In our own Lutheran faith tradition we are invited to receive the assurance of God’s forgiveness, embodied in bread and wine – “given for you” when we worship. Holy Communion is a gift of grace that builds up the body of Christ. Facility Our worship facility is air-conditioned and accessible to the disabled. | |||||
